How do I turn the keyboard light on Lenovo laptop?

I’m using a Lenovo laptop (not sure if the steps are the same for all models), and I can’t figure out how to enable the keyboard backlight. I tried pressing a few function keys like Fn + Space and Fn + Esc, but nothing seems to happen. I checked Windows settings but didn’t see a clear option there either. Is there a specific shortcut for Lenovo devices, or does it depend on the model like IdeaPad, ThinkPad, or Legion? Also, could it be disabled in BIOS? Would appreciate a clear step-by-step explanation because I mostly work at night and really need the backlight.

To turn the keyboard light on Lenovo laptop, first, check if your laptop has a dedicated keyboard backlight button. If not, you can try navigating to Settings > Display > Keyboard backlight or pressing the Fn key in combination with the space bar or another key (it may vary depending on your model).

To turn on the keyboard light on a Lenovo laptop, press Fn + Spacebar on most models. Some use Fn + F5 or Fn + F9. Press repeatedly to adjust brightness levels. If it doesn’t work, check Lenovo Vantage settings or ensure your specific model supports a backlit keyboard.

Yeah, on most Lenovo laptops it’s Fn + Space to toggle the keyboard light (press it a couple times for different brightness levels), but if nothing happens your model might not have a backlit keyboard or it could be turned off in BIOS.

On most Lenovo laptops, you can turn on the keyboard backlight by pressing Fn + Spacebar, which usually cycles through off, low, and high brightness. On some models, it may also be Fn + Esc or controlled through Lenovo Vantage in Windows settings if the shortcut doesn’t work.

To turn on the Lenovo laptop keyboard light, press Fn + Spacebar or sometimes Fn + Esc, depending on the model. Press it repeatedly to switch between off, low brightness, and high brightness. 💻
