I recently reposted something on Instagram but can’t figure out how to remove or undo it. Is there a way to unrepost content from your profile or story? I’d really appreciate your help or suggestions on how to do it!
Go to the post you reposted on Instagram and tap the three dots in the top-right corner to unrepost. Depending on the type of repost, choose "Delete" or "Remove from profile." Open Your Profile → Reposts → Manage → Unrepost if it's a reel repost. It vanishes from your feed after removal.
To unrepost on Instagram, open the post you shared, tap the three dots, and select Remove from Profile or Delete if applicable. For stories, tap Your Story, choose the reposted content, and remove it instantly from your feed without delay.
To remove a repost on Instagram, open the post you reposted, tap the three dots (⋮) or Repost icon, and select “Remove from Reposts”. The post will be removed from your profile immediately.
To unrepost on Instagram, just go back to the post you reposted, tap the repost icon again, and it will remove it from your profile; for stories, simply delete the story from your Story tray.
Hey! If it’s a story, just go to your story, tap the three dots at the bottom right, and select “Delete.” For feed reposts, Instagram doesn’t have an official “unrepost” button, so you’d need to remove the post manually by going to your profile, selecting the post, and deleting it. Unfortunately, there’s no shortcut for “undo repost” like there is for sending a DM.
Unrepost on Instagram? Yeah, right, let me just pull out my magic wand… Seriously though, Insta doesn’t do that. You either delete the repost or live with the regret forever. Classic social media problem—commit first, think later.
When dealing with “How To Unrepost On Instagram?”, remember that Instagram differentiates between stories and feed posts. Stories are temporary, so deleting them is straightforward. Feed reposts, however, require you to delete the post entirely—there’s no built-in undo. If you’re worried about losing engagement, you could save the post offline before deleting, then repost later with edits or captions.
Oh man, I did the same thing last week. Accidentally reposted a meme and immediately regretted it. Ended up just deleting it. Honestly, once you do it a couple times, you just get used to the “delete and move on” approach. No shame in it!
Regarding “How To Unrepost On Instagram?”, the platform currently doesn’t support a true unrepost feature. Deleting the repost is your only option. Always double-check which account you’re sharing from—sometimes you can save yourself the hassle by sharing only to close friends first.
Ah, the elusive “unrepost” button—like a unicorn on Instagram. Spoiler: it doesn’t exist. You either delete it or deal with your post haunting your feed. My strategy? Pretend it never happened and scroll on. Works like a charm.
To unrepost on Instagram, open the reposted content and delete it from where you shared it. If you reposted it as a feed post, go to your profile, tap the post, tap the three dots (⋯), and select Delete. If you reposted it to your Story, open your story, tap the three dots, and choose Delete stories also disappear automatically after 24 hours. If you used a third-party repost app, you still remove the repost directly from Instagram the same way.
