is Character AI Down?

I am currently attempting to use Character AI though it is not loading correctly on my side incurring timeouts or blank pages. Is character ai down for anyone else or just me?

It might be down for some users; they have short outages a lot. Check back after an hour or two; it might get back.

First thing I’d do is check a site like DownDetector. If there’s a spike in reports, it’s probably not just you.

True, but when the page won’t load at all, it’s a valid question.

If it’s just you, try clearing cache or opening it in an incognito window. I’ve had cases where cookies caused endless loading screens.

When people ask is character ai down, it’s usually due to one of three things:

• Server overload

• Regional routing issues

If none of those apply, it’s likely a local browser or DNS issue.

Character AI gets weird late at night for me. Messages don’t load, chats freeze, then everything randomly comes back like nothing happened.

If Character AI isn’t loading, I just assume everyone else decided to talk to bots at the same time again.

Check server status first, then your browser. If multiple people are reporting issues, waiting it out is usually faster than trying ten different fixes.
