Is Crushon AI Better Than Other Unfiltered Chatbots for Roleplay?

I’ve recently started exploring various AI companion platforms, and crushon ai keeps coming up as a top recommendation for those who want fewer content restrictions. For those of you who use it daily, how does the memory system in crushon ai hold up during long-term scenarios? I’ve noticed that some models tend to lose the plot after 50+ messages, so I’m curious if their higher-tier models (like the 72B versions) are significantly better at retaining character persona.
Also, for anyone who has built custom characters on crushon ai, do you find that the "Scene" and "Profile" cards actually influence the bot's behavior, or is it mostly just fluff? I’m trying to decide if I should commit to a monthly subscription or if the free version is enough for occasional creative writing and roleplay.

Honestly, it's a coin flip. The 72B model is certainly a colossal upgrade to the base model in memory, although it is not the one to recall what you had in the morning 100 messages ago. It has a better memory of staying in character, but without using the memory pins the "goldfish memory" is a thing.

Same here. I changed C.AI due to the filters and the freedom is enormous but the quality of prose is alternating. It occasionally takes up a loop of repeating the same three sentences.

The scene card is all you need in case you are creating your own bots. When left empty, the bot will simply resort to a generic personality. I took me two hours to work on the profile of my character and it now actually matches the lore in most aspects. Definitely not fluff.

Imagine you pay money to be subscribed and the bot does not even remember your name. It is the Crushon experience at times. It is not as bad as most of them but the bar is now literally on the floor with these unfiltered bots.

I am using the 72B model of long term RP and it is much more coherent than the free ones. It is able to address the complicated plot changes without the loss of the persona. Although you are not afraid to do any creative writing, the subscription fee is justified by the priority to the bigger models.

Crushon is likely to be on top 3 in unfiltered compared to other platforms. The UI is visual friendly and the community characters are in fact good. I would recommend trying out the free version a week and in case you feel like you have reached the limit, then sub.

Lmao "creative writing." We all understand what the people are using it. but the memory pins are the friend of thy friend. Or it will be forgotten by the bot that you are in a dungeon and believe that you are in a Starbucks.

The reasoning of the model 72B is far superior. It knows subtext and nuancing much better than the smaller models which only attempt to bypass the build-up of the action and jump straight to it.

I have tried the free version and the "Standard" model is literally lobotomized. As long as you are not using the higher-tier models, you can as well as use a local LLM assuming you have the hardware to run it.

The profile cards themselves are certainly operative, though you must be particular. When you type in He is mean, the bot is hardly mean. When you write in sharp, condescending tones, and are not willing to apologize, then it does indeed work.

I will be using the free version. It is slightly expensive, especially considering the price of the subscription, and you can do well with the free credits should you be patient and remember to keep your prompts short.

To know whether they have updated the memory system in the recent past or not? My bot has been able to mention one of the plot elements of yesterday and I nearly dropped out of my chair.

It has been leading in the no filter market and the competition is rapidly catching up. It is certainly superior to the official apps that have been sterilized.

Well, nowadays, the memory pin option is just good enough to store the important stuff. Regardless of the size of the model, context windows are filled eventually. The 72B only takes a long time to become confused.
