When you press the wrong "Download" button on the pop-ups, then you know you are getting the trouble. The site is not bad but the advertisements are certainly not good.

Seriously, just don't. It's a total gamble. Although the game might be working well, you do not know what is running behind it. Do you really want to risk your bank logins or receive a mean card from your provider when a 20 dollar game is involved? Like an average person, wait until there is a Steam sale.

Wait, the people still believe that there is no catch to the free stuff on the internet? The thing is you are essentially telling a stranger to install files on your C: drive. Good luck with that.

It has been rather dependable to me. Simply make sure that you are in the real site and not a copycat. People have millions of so-called Steam Unlocked sites, and they are 100 percent viruses. In case the URL looks a bit off, get out of there.

I attempted to download a small indie game last week and my windows defender ran out of control. They are said to be false positives but to be honest I am not tech savvy to take the risk. Removed the zip file and did not turn back.

Same here, used it for years. Never had an issue. It is like people simply do not know how to work through the internet without clicking on every pop up they encounter stating that their PC is infected.

Is it safe? No. Does it work? Yes. It is like having a snack in a foreign land; it may happen to be the best meal of your time or you may end up spending the following one week in purgatory. Having a VPN and Virtual machine, that is, be paranoid.

When I was not using a VPN, my ISP issued a warning message after I used it. Those file-hosting links they are certainly trailing. At least protect your IP address, in case you are going to do it.

I play it with the games that are not sold anymore (abandonware). In the particular instances, it is a savior. But for new AAA titles? Simply purchase and patronize the devs.
