What's my Phone Number?

I’m trying to figure out what's my phone number on my current device because I can’t remember it and it’s not easily visible. Is there a simple way to check my phone number on Android or iPhone through settings or codes? Any quick method would help.

On most Android phones, go to Settings → About phone → SIM status and you should see your number listed there. On iPhone, check Settings → Phone → My Number. It’s surprisingly hidden for something so basic. If it doesn’t show up, sometimes restarting the phone helps refresh SIM info.

If your carrier hasn’t provisioned the MSISDN properly, your device may show “Unknown.” In that case, dialing *#62# or checking the SIM details won’t help. Logging into your carrier’s official app or customer portal is usually the most accurate method to retrieve the registered number.

The most ancient solution still works: call a friend and ask them what number just rang their phone. Low-tech, zero settings menus, zero frustration. Honestly, that’s how half of us still solve What’s my Phone Number? problems in 2026.

It’s wild how phones can unlock with your face, track your sleep, and measure oxygen levels—but hide What’s my Phone Number? like it’s classified government data. Anyway, Settings → Phone works… unless your carrier decides to be mysterious.

I run into this every time I buy a new SIM. On Android, Google Contacts sometimes auto-saves your number under “Me.” Open Contacts and check your profile. Doesn’t always work, but when it does, it’s the easiest solution.

If nothing shows in settings, send a missed call or SMS to another phone you have access to. It’s instant and avoids carrier apps or guessing. Also useful when troubleshooting What’s my Phone Number? on dual-SIM devices where only one line is active.
