Which 2025 Phone Has the Best Camera?

I’m planning to upgrade my phone this year and want great camera performance. Between Samsung, Google, and Apple — which 2025 model takes the lead for photography?

2025 Phone with Best Camera:
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra — Excellent all-around camera performance, strong zoom and versatile shooting.
  • Apple iPhone 16 Pro — Great for natural colors, consistent shots, and strong video in different lighting.

Here are some of the top phones in 2025 with the best cameras — which is “best” depends on what you care about (zoom, video, low light, etc.).

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra — Often ranked #1 overall in 2025 thanks to its 200 MP main sensor, dual telephoto zoom lenses (up to 10× optical), strong low-light shots, and excellent video capabilities.
  • Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max — Known for accurate colours, cinematic video, and strong performance in varied lighting; excellent if you care about balanced photos and video.
  • Google Pixel 9 Pro — Best for natural, realistic photos, superb night/night-mode shots, and strong AI-driven photography tools (HDR, portrait, etc.).

Honestly, it depends on the type of photography you are doing.
  • Apple iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max: Unbelievable computational photography, great low-light camera, and best video stabilization.

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: The zoom is good, the colors are vivid, and the cameras are highly versatile to take a wide-degree view or even telephones.

  • Google Pixel 9 Pro: It is likely the most suitable one in terms of point-and-shoot and AI-aided photography. Night sight is insane.
In my case, when video is the priority, then, iPhone. If zoom + versatility → Samsung. If pure photo AI magic → Pixel.

The cameras in all these 3 phones at this juncture makes your old DSLR cry in the corner.

All I need is a phone that is capable of capturing images of my unkempt room and then straight to Photoshop and have it cleaned. Until this point,

I am likely to choose which ones look best on Instagram stories.

Bro, iPhone 16 Pro has no rivalry with computational photography. Not everything in Zoom, dynamic range, color, low light? Apple wins.

Sure, but in the real-life context I would like versatility. The S25 Ultra allows me to capture wildlife, landscape and macros with just a change of gear.

My personal experience is that I had left iPhone 15 and joined Pixel 9 Pro this year. Photos taken at night shocked me and the AI does most of the work. I do little to no editing nowadays. IPhone, however, prevails in the case of vlogging and video.

Every new phone: “Our camera can see inside your soul.”
Reality: It can capture awesome photos, but still cannot make my bedroom look clean.

That said, if you want bragging rights on Instagram stories, Apple is the safe flex. Pixel need to have trouble free night shots. Samsung when you want to get close up shots of your neighbor cat safely.
