Why Windows 11 Update Assistant is not an overly functioning on my computer, I am questioning, since every time I start it, it receives stuck, or exercises an error, or closes without any clarification.

I have already reviewed my internet connection and storage space, yet nothing appears to make it fine. Does anybody encounter this issue in the recent past? Did you determine what was causing it- such as driver problem, update missing, corrupted files or otherwise?

Among the most frequent ones are corrupted files, low storage or inoperative services. It normally works when running the Windows Update Troubleshooter or reinstalling the Assistant.

This issue usually happens due to compatibility problems, system file errors, or network issues. Updating drivers, checking PC requirements, and restarting update services often fixes it.

This usually happens when there’s a compatibility block in the background. Even if storage and internet are fine, outdated drivers (especially graphics or chipset) can cause the Update Assistant to hang or close silently.

I had the same issue and searched everywhere because Windows 11 Update Assistant not working made no sense on a supported PC. Turned out my BIOS was outdated. After updating it, the assistant ran without crashing.

If Windows 11 Update Assistant not working keeps happening, try running sfc /scannow, then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, and launch the tool as administrator. That combination fixes many cases caused by corrupted system files.
