Does Instagram Notify When You Screenshot a Post or Story?

I was wondering does instagram notify when you screenshot a post because I’ve heard mixed answers about this. Do users actually get notified if someone screenshots their content, or is that only for certain features?

No, Instagram does not inform the user that a post, reel, profile or story is being screen shot. You are able to capture screen shots of ordinary content without the other individual having to notice. But Instagram does issue a notification in case of screen shots on disappearing photos or videos sent via direct messaging. This aspect contributes towards security of private messages, and regular posts and stories can be taken without any notification to the initial poster.
