How to change background color on instagram story?

Frustrated with my Instagram story editor, does anyone know a simple way to how to change background color on Instagram story?

To change the background color on an Instagram Story, open the Story camera, take or upload a photo, then tap the pen icon. Select a color, press and hold anywhere on the screen to fill the background, or use the sticker tool for gradient and patterns for customization.

To change the background color on an Instagram Story, add a photo, tap the draw tool, choose a color, then long-press on the screen until it fills with that color. You can also use the eraser tool to reveal parts of the photo underneath.
