How to connect alexa to internet?

I followed all steps but still don’t know How to connect alexa to internet, my router works fine yet Alexa refuses to sync or load skills ?
 
In order to link Alexa with the internet, first of all plug it into a power source, then open the Alexa application, press the Devices button, pick the Echo of yours, and click Change next to the Wi-Fi Network, afterwards follow instructions to detect your network and type the password; if it is a new device, select the + (Add Device) icon in the application and proceed with the guided setup for your Echo.

A quick reset usually fixes it.
