How to Deactivate the Instagram?

I’m currently studying for finals and need to get rid of distractions, but I don't want to lose my profile or my followers forever. I know there is an option to hide your profile temporarily rather than deleting it. Could someone explain how to deactivate the instagram account for a few weeks so that it becomes invisible until I’m ready to log back in?

In practice, Instagram lets one pause the account once a week. Head to the site instead of the app - there's no option on mobile. Tap Edit Profile, scroll down, pick 'Temporarily disable my account,' choose a reason from the list, type in the password, and tap 'Temporarily Disable Account. ' Everything one's posted fades from view until one signs back in. Reactivation happens simply when one returns, plus the system only permits one temporary shutdown every seven days, more or less.
