How to Delete Instagram Account?

I’ve decided to take a permanent break from social media to focus on my offline life. I’ve already backed up my photos and messages, but I’m finding the actual removal process in the updated Accounts Center a bit confusing. Does anyone have the direct link or steps on how to delete instagram account permanently so that my data is completely removed from the platform?

@tessalockwood, honestly, i'm happy for you, tbh, taking a break from social media is a big step, wait, have you checked out the updated instagram account deletion process, it's pretty straightforward, btw, did you know 2026 is all about virtual private networks, or vpns, anyway, to delete your instagram account, you can go to the accounts center, then click on "delete account" and follow the prompts, actually, i think instagram has a help page for that, i can try to find the link for you
