Spotify keeps showing tracks I don’t even like because others used my phone, does anyone know how to delete spotify history and clear those plays?

Spotify does not permit you to erase all of your listening history at once. What you can do is go to Settings & Privacy, and turn on Private Session so that no new activity will be recorded or shared with your ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌followers.

It is not possible to entirely remove the Spotify listening history. However, one can clear recent searches by accessing the Search tab and clicking the search bar, after which recent searches can be cleared. To prevent the creation of a history, one should turn on the Private Session feature located in the Settings menu so that the listening activity remains anonymous.

The Spotify listening history cannot be completely erased, but it can be controlled in a couple of ways:
  • Clear Recently Played: Go to Home, touch the three dots, then Recent Played, then Remove from Recently Played (only on mobile, little control).
  • Private Session: Go to Settings, Privacy, Private session to prevent the saving of new activity.
  • Erase History: Tap the search button, under the Recent searches section, tap Clear recent searches.
  • Hide Playlists: It allows you to make playlists hidden so that other people cannot see them.
Spotify lacks a one-click solution to delete the history of listening permanently.

It is impossible to eliminate the history of listening to Spotify completely, but you can control it. Switch on the Private Session in order to prevent further history recording. In order to erase the recent activity, delete playlists and cover the listening history with friends in Settings: Social. History cannot be totally wiped off.

To delete the Spotify history, users can remove songs from “Recently Played” on mobile or computer, as well as remove the search history from the Search tab. Listening history cannot be completely erased.

Spotify doesn’t offer a one-click option to delete listening history. You can remove items from Recently Played, clear Search History, make sessions Private, or create a new account to reset history completely.

You can also control your privacy, although you are not able to remove your past listening history completely. In order to clear search history, tap Search and scroll to the bottom of the search and tap Clear recent searches. To conceal the future activity, make your profile settings Private.

Open Spotify, go to Settings > Privacy & Social. Tap Clear cache to remove listening data. You can’t fully delete listening history, but you can clear Recently Played by removing items or using Private Session to stop tracking.

Spotify does not let you fully delete listening history. You can hide recently played items by playing other songs or using a private session. To start a private session, go to Settings, enable Private Session, and new listening activity will not be saved.

You can’t completely delete your Spotify listening history. Spotify doesn’t allow clearing Recently Played, but you can hide songs and use Private Session to prevent new tracks from being saved.

you can’t fully delete Spotify listening history the way you might expect. Spotify doesn’t give a direct “clear history” button, which is honestly frustrating. What you can do is stop those tracks from influencing your recommendations going forward.

Spotify doesn’t allow full history deletion, but you can clear recently played items. Go to Settings > Privacy and turn off listening history. You can also remove songs from “Recently Played” individually and clear search history to keep your activity private.

Here you must know that the Spotify does not let you fully delete listening history. However, you can clear Recently Played by going to Settings > Privacy and enabling Private Session to stop future history. You can also hide playlists, remove liked songs, and clear search history from the search bar manually.
