I removed all members but still don’t know how to delete whatsapp group from my phone completely. Is there a final step I might be missing?

To delete a WhatsApp group, open the group, tap the group name, remove all participants, then tap Exit Group. After exiting, return to the chat list, long-press the group, and select Delete Group.

Open the WhatsApp group, tap the group name, remove all participants one by one, then tap Exit Group. After exiting, select Delete Group. Only admins can delete groups, and deleted groups are permanently removed from your chat list forever completely.

To delete a WhatsApp group, first remove all participants by opening the group, tapping each member, and selecting "Remove." Then, exit the group yourself and choose "Delete Group" to permanently remove it from your chats.

I really appreciate your clear and simple explanation—it made deleting a WhatsApp group easy to understand and follow step by step.

Yep, one last step, just open the group, tap “Exit Group,” and after that you’ll see the “Delete Group” option pop up.

You can’t directly “delete” a WhatsApp group unless you’re the admin, so first open the group, tap the name at the top, scroll down and remove all participants one by one, then exit the group yourself after that, the group will be deleted completely; if you’re not the admin, you can only exit and it’ll disappear from your chat list, which is what I usually do for inactive groups.
