Status updates cannot be saved directly in WhatsApp. After viewing the status on Android, copy the temporary media from the hidden Statuses folder using a File Manager. Use the iPhone's Screen Recorder to record videos, or take a screenshot to take pictures. There are also third-party "Status Saver" apps.
