How to turn off safe mode on android after a restart?

My phone somehow booted into Safe Mode, and now half my apps are grayed out. I’ve tried restarting normally, but it keeps coming back. Does anyone know the specific steps for how to turn off safe mode on Android devices permanently?

I had this happen last week. In most cases, all you have to do is to press the Power button and the Volume Down at the same time at least within 30 seconds. This triggers a soft restart instead of a normal restart, which as a rule, resets the flag that continues to force the OS into Safe Mode. Have that shot and then you see what more drastic you want to do.

Oh, great. Victims of the endless loop of safety. It is likely that you have a volume button which is stuck or a thick case which is pressing the button as the phone starts to boot. When the hardware believes that it is being held down during BIOS check, it will boot into Safe Mode every single time. Get your case off and wipe the buttons with some isopropyl alcohol.

Did you look at your notifications shade? On certain newer android versions, it actually has a continuous notification that reads Safe Mode is on - Tap here to switch off. You may be trying too much and only require to give a punch to the prompt that is looking at you.

When standard restart is not helping you, then in fact you may be having a corrupted application, and the system is only taking precautions against it. Attempt to uninstall the most recent 2 or 3 apps that you downloaded immediately before this. In the event the OS identifies the threat of boot loop via a certain APK, it will revert under permanent failsafe mode to Safe Mode.

Lol, welcome to the Matrix. Your phone has chosen to have a digital detox whether you want to have this or not. Seriously speaking, make sure that your Bixby/Assistant button is not stuck. These hardware interrupts are the number one reason as to why people would inquire how to disable can safe mode in android when software switches would not work.

This is a grave concern in the event that a soft reset was not effective. You have to remove the battery in case it is an older model. When it is a modern sealed unit, then allow the battery to run to 0% before it dies out and then it is important to leave it at 0% and then charge it completely when off. The power management controller requires a complete reset to clear the boot state sometimes.

You should have Accessibility settings that you need to check once you are back in. Other developer-level features such as TalkBack sometimes glitch the boot sequence. In addition, ensure that you do not hold the volume buttons accidentally when you are reaching the power button during the restart. It is a dumb thing to say, but I have been there and witnessed dozens of such times.

Just think about a world, in which your phone does what you say it does. Wouldn't that be nice? We do not exist in that world having said that, we can boot into the Recovery Menu (Power + Volume Up on the boot) and choose the option “Wipe Cache Partition). It will not erase your photos but it will clear the system junk that stays as temporary that tends to cause these logic loops.

This is usually due to moisture in the charging port or the volume rockers, which is 90 percent of the time and I am also an authorized technician. In case of a slight short circuit, the phone considers the button to be pressed. Experiment with a dryer on a low or cool level over the buttons a few minutes to make sure that there is no moisture in the inside part of the case.

When none of this works, literally, you are into a factory reformat. It is the nuclear option, however, when the system files are corrupt to the point of the system not booting to the normal GUI, you do not really have a choice. First back up anything you can via a PC connection since normally MDB file transfers are still possible in Safe Mode.

To turn off Safe Mode on Android after a restart, restart your phone normally by holding the power button and tapping Restart. If it stays on, check and remove any stuck volume buttons, uninstall recently added apps, or power off and turn the device back on again.
