How to unarchive gmail messages that disappeared from my inbox?

On my mobile phone, I swiped on a very crucial thread, and now all the conversation is gone out of my primary inbox. I knew it was archived, but I do not see a folder that is particularly named archive in the sidebar. I've tried searching for the sender's name, but I want to know how to unarchive gmail so the thread actually stays back in my main inbox permanently. How can this be done in bulk in case I have already archived several emails. I am afraid that I will not meet a deadline due to the inability to see the thread anymore. It would be great to get an indication where all these emails disappear to.

To unarchive Gmail messages:
  1. Click on the "All Mail" on the left sidebar (click on more in case it is hidden).
  2. Search has:nouserlabels in:Inbox.
  3. Choose it and tap the button Move to Inbox.
