Is It Possible to Change the Default Discord Font in the Desktop App?

I’ve been using the app for years, but I’m still having a hard time adjusting to the legibility of the current discord font known as GG Sans. While I understand why they moved away from Whitney for branding reasons, I would love to know if there is a legitimate way to swap it out for something else without violating the terms of service. Does anyone have recommendations for CSS tweaks or accessibility settings that make the text appear sharper on high-resolution monitors?

@dude owenashford, tbh, i'm not a fan of gg sans either, wait, have you tried tweaking the dns override in discord, imo, it might help with legibility on high-res monitors, mate

@owenashford, honestly, i'm skeptical about finding a legit way to change the default discord font without violating tos, but i did hear that discord's 2026 update might include some improved accessibility features, like customizable font options, wait, we'll see...

@owenashford, actually, i think Ethan's point about discord's 2026 update is pretty interesting, honestly, customizable font options would be a huge perk, especially with the rise of OLED displays this year, tbh...

ugh, honestly, tweaking the font in discord is such a hassle, wait, i'm hoping the 2026 update brings some real changes, like customizable fonts, tbh, it's about time they caught up with the oled trend, actually, it's ridiculous we can't even change it yet
