What Are the Most Common Mistakes New SaaS Startups Make During Their First Year?

I am currently in the early stages of launching a software venture and have been reading a lot about the high failure rates in the industry. It seems like many saas startups struggle with either over-engineering their product before launch or failing to find a proper product-market fit early enough. For those of you who have been through this process, what were the "red flags" you noticed in your own journey or among your peers? I’m particularly interested in hearing about strategies for sustainable user acquisition and how to manage burn rates without sacrificing necessary growth.
