The Target store traffic has been on the downward trend recently attributed to a number of factors. Sustained boycott and negative response to diversity and inclusion changes has continued to drive customers away. Competition by low price retailers such as Walmart and the changing consumer behaviour towards internet shopping also decreases the in-store shopping. The travels become fewer because of economic strains and shifts in expenditure habits. To recover its foot traffic, Target is retaliating by refocusing on busy families, remodeling shops and making appealing product partnerships.
