How do you delete a story from Snapchat?

I’m trying to fix an embarrassing upload, but even after searching How do you delete a story from snapchat? I can’t figure it out. What am I doing wrong here?

To delete a Snapchat story, open your profile, tap My Story, select the snap you want to remove, and tap Delete.

It’s easy to miss , open Snapchat, tap your profile Bitmoji, go to My Story, tap the three dots, and hit Delete on that snap. If you don’t see it, the story may have already expired (after 24 hours).
