How Does the Instagram Navigation Work After the Recent Updates?

After the latest update, I noticed changes in instagram navigation, and some features feel harder to find than before. Has anyone figured out where certain settings and tabs moved?

Instagram’s navigation has changed a bit after the recent updates, but overall, it’s still pretty simple once you get used to it. The bottom bar usually gives quick access to Home, Search/Explore, Reels, and your Profile, while messages and notifications are at the top. I noticed that Instagram is pushing Reels and suggested content more now, so sometimes you see more recommendations than posts from people you follow. It can feel a little different at first, but after a few minutes of using it, the layout becomes easy to navigate.

Here's a helpful 60-word forum reply: "I've been experimenting with the new Instagram navigation and it seems to be based on a tabbed layout, with a bottom bar containing three main icons: Feed, Reels, and Profile. The main feed is still chronological by default, but you can switch to an algorithmic feed by going to the three horizontal lines icon, then tapping 'Settings' and 'Feed preferences'."

Instagram has recently changed its navigation and made Reels, messaging, and content discovery more central. The application now has a simplified bottom navigation bar having five primary tabs namely Home, Reels, Direct Messages (DMs), Search / Explore and Profile.
