Why Is It Confusing to Enter BIOS on Windows 11 Systems?

I need to change a boot setting but I’m unsure how to enter bios windows 11 properly. The startup process seems different compared to older versions. When I searched for how to enter bios windows 11, I saw multiple methods like Shift + Restart and key presses. Which one is correct?

The BIOS of Windows 11 systems is not easy to enter since the current computers have fast startup and the UEFI firmware that do not show the standard boot screen, where key prompts will be displayed. A lot of devices need keys, recovery menus or settings in windows to get in so the user misses the timing, or does not know how.

It’s confusing because most Windows 11 PCs use UEFI firmware with fast boot enabled, which skips the old key-press BIOS screen—so you often must enter it through Settings → Recovery → Advanced startup instead of pressing a key at startup.

Entering BIOS on Windows 11 systems can be confusing because fast startup and UEFI firmware reduce boot time, leaving little chance to press traditional keys like F2 or Del. Different manufacturers use different keys, and newer devices often require accessing BIOS through Advanced Startup settings instead.
