How can I turn off Lenovo privacy shutter on my laptop?

My Lenovo laptop has a built-in camera cover, and I accidentally enabled the privacy shutter. Now my camera isn’t working during Zoom and Google Meet calls, and I’m not sure if it’s a physical switch or a software setting. I looked in camera settings but didn’t find anything useful. Is the Lenovo privacy shutter controlled manually near the webcam, or is there an option in Lenovo Vantage or BIOS? Just want to understand what I might be missing before assuming the camera is faulty.

To turn off the Lenovo Privacy Shutter on your laptop, try the following: - Press the Windows key + I to open Settings. - Click on "Device" then "Camera". - Scroll down to "Related settings" and select "Camera settings". - Uncheck the box next to "Lenovo Privacy Shutter" to disable it.

To turn off the privacy shutter on a Lenovo laptop, locate the small slider near your webcam. Gently slide it sideways until the camera lens is fully visible. This opens the shutter. If your model uses an electronic switch, check Lenovo Vantage settings to enable the camera.

To turn off the Lenovo privacy shutter on your laptop, simply slide the physical shutter on your webcam back to the open position. There is no software setting needed—moving the small switch or slider near the camera will unblock the lens and allow the webcam to function normally.

To turn off AI Overview, go to the app or platform settings where it appears. Look for “AI features,” “AI Overview,” or “Assistant suggestions” and toggle it off. This disables AI summaries, insights, or recommendations, letting you use the platform without AI-generated content or notifications.

On most Lenovo laptops, the privacy shutter is a small physical slider that blocks the webcam. To turn it off (open the camera), locate the tiny switch above the webcam at the top of the screen and slide it in the opposite direction. When the shutter is closed, a red dot usually appears on the camera; sliding it open removes the red dot and enables the camera.

If your Lenovo laptop has a physical privacy shutter, you can turn it off by sliding the small switch next to the webcam until the camera is visible again; it’s a manual cover that blocks the camera for privacy, so once you slide it open, the webcam will work normally.

To turn off the Lenovo Privacy Shutter on your laptop, check your Lenovo Settings. Click on 'Control Center,' then 'Display,' and toggle off 'Privacy Shutter' or 'Camera Cover' depending on your device model. You can also try disabling the camera in Device Manager under 'Imaging Devices.' This should resolve the issue and allow you to turn off the shutter.
